And as soon as I knew there was a problem, the hot water heater was replaced the same day, as was the thermostat for the AC. The thermostat had stopped working and thus the fan wouldn't off. So glad i could have these items fixed with minimum interruption to my guests :)

Mary was very pleasant to speak with. However, it was evident that she exercised no control over her two children. It is also evident that while she verbally agreed to the stipulated guidelines, she did not follow through with any actions to leave the condo in the condition that she found it in: clean & neat. Due to this experience I have changed the age of children allowed in the unit to over 12 years old. I can review on a case by case basis requests for perhaps a younger child. Last December I had a family with a 10 year son who was very well behaved and his mother made sure he cleaned up his messes. This was not the case with Mary and her children. I was disappointed that Mary both tried to leave before I could do a required walk through at the end of her stay. I was horrified when I went into the unit and saw the condition of the unit. The sheets had not been taken off the bed. I allowed Mary to check out 4 hours later than normal checkout with the agreement that the sheets be washed and dried. They were not washed or dried. The entire unit was left in a mess. Pieces of food snacks were scattered all over the floor in the living room, dining area, and kitchen. I ask that the refrigerator be cleaned out of all food stuffs, and it was not. It was full of rotting fruit and half finished dairy beverages. Even the coffee pot still had the grinds in the basket and had not been cleaned. There were dishes in the dishwasher but it was evident at the dishwasher had not been run. I ask my guests to wash and dry all dishes and utensils and store them properly. It took 2 more hours than usual to clean the unit. The kids or one of the children was playing so actively in the bathtub that a lot of water spilled out of the bathtub and flowed into the unit downstairs. Luckily the owners of that unit were very understanding, and there was minimal damage! But their ceiling was wet. Mary used every single additional bath mat and towel to soak up the excess water and then left the drenched mats and towels on the floors. There is a washer/dryer in the unit with detergent. These could have at least been dried to avoid damage. Had the items overlapped onto the wood flooring, there would have been a very large repair bill. (in to the thousands of dollars to replace damaged flooring). I really hesitated to leave a bad review. However, in fairness to other unit owners, i wanted the truth to prevail.

I appreciated ur return visit to the condo this January. I was surprised read your less than satisfied review. Last year you didn't mention the items that this year seam to irk you. Neither did you provide me with this information during our exit interview. I will have the electrician look at the bathroom fan. Unfortunately it is the only one in the bathroom ensuite. Perhaps there is a way to separate the light switch from the fan switch. During the 2020 renovation the electrician I used suggested I keep the fan as a way of dissipating the steam from showers & unpleasant order from toilet use. Because the building is located so close to the beach, there is a high level of humidity that can cause an unpleasant odor if a dehumidifier is not used. I always give my guests the option of turning off the de-humidifier at night or if they need a break from the quiet humming. However, most units have de humidifiers to help alleviate the natural humidity from Florida weather & ocean air. You also did not point out the rip in the sofa. I have not noticed this even after my inspection after the guest after u left today. I hope u find ur stay at the sand dunes on singer island more comfortable. I notice those units are older, smaller, less updated, close to the ocean, and their rates are more than the 2023 rate set for the Jupiter Bay. I always encourage constructive criticism. I wish you had verbally communicated your concerns to me during your stay so that I could have been made aware and been able to make some suggestions for your increased comfortability. I do my best to make my guests' stays as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
